Berne Union is international association for credit insurance and investment insurance headquartered in London, and ASEI has become the member since 1991.

The purpose of the Berne Union is to work for:

  1. The international acceptance of sound principles of export credit insurance and the establishment and maintenance of discipline in the terms of credit for international trade.
  2. International cooperation in encouraging a favorable investment climate and in developing and maintaining sound principles of foreign investment insurance.
  3. The exchange of information, assistance, expertise and advice in relation both to the commercial and political risks involved in foreign investment insurance and to the range of associated matters relating thereto

ASEI has actively participated as participant or host to Trade and Investment Insurance Training Program APEC-HRD Working Group. This training is focused on accelerating skill and knowledge for people who work in export credit agencies in Asia region through transfer knowledge amongst the members. At the end, it is to improve export trade and investment climate within Asian nation. Moreover, ASEI has also joined actively in APEC Export Credit Agency Working Group especially in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) development.

ASEI as State-Owned Enterprise in strengthening its business development always maintains synergy and mutual beneficial cooperation with other State-Owned Enterprises.
